For the debut edition of the Daisy Chain Fields festival — a 45,000-person event that raised $20 million for charities protecting women and girls — I designed and led the build of Field of Daisies: an immersive landscape that turned an open lawn at Irvine’s Great Park into an oversized, dreamlike flower field.
The brief was as much hospitality as spectacle. On a scorching Southern California day, the space had to read as a larger-than-life garden from across the field, and work up close as genuine respite — shade, seating, and soft places to land in the middle of the crowd.
