Parks Project

A retail Forest Portal that transforms a Parks Project store into an immersive Redwood Forest experience.

Experiential Design

Keith Eshelman, co-founder and CEO of Parks Project, came to me wanting to build a Forest Portal inside his retail store. He had already worked with a number of retail designers, but none had reached the transformative level the idea demanded — or lived up to the company’s motto: “Leave it Better Than You Found It.” Parks Project exists to empower the next generation of Park Champions, dedicated to protecting the parks we all cherish.

So I led a full design overhaul to immerse visitors in a Redwood Forest the moment they walked through the door. I turned the retail space into a simulated park encounter — a living portal designed to draw people in, spark engagement, and carry the brand’s mission into the room itself.
