Absurdist police satire from Steve and Nancy Carell, starring Rashida Jones as a deadpan LAPD detective in a spoof of classic cop dramas
This was an incredibly fun television series to be part of under the guidance of Production Designer Paul Eads. Created and produced by Steve Carell and Nancy Carell, the show’s playful spirit carried through every department — from concept meetings to our bus rides to set. As a comedy, each episode featured elaborate visual gags that often required close collaboration with the stunts and special effects teams. Our largest build was the police precinct, which served as the show’s central and permanent set, providing the comedic foundation for much of the series’ action.
